    in fragile moments i have touched eternity
    the wooden table where i sat this morning was also a tree
    that grew from a seed
    planted by someone's ancestor
    and blown by east or west winds
    to lie in dirt that
    eons ago was eroded from magma or sea beds

    words on this stone tablet
    are meant for those who come after
    as stewards of the earth
    a continuation of the beginning
    to an expansive unknown
