the Shed Project: art gallery + studio

This project began with Divine guidance in February 2025. We've been gearing up as a family to move, although it hasn't happened yet. So my guidance was to work with what I got. I cleared out this shed and everything I needed I had in my garage and house. The only thing I bought was the little pre~made canvas. I used to stretch my own canvas as well as the artist Mary Heilmann's canvas back in the 90's when I was painting and was her artist assistant. I also worked for Dianne Blell + Keith Sonnier...those were great times. Back then I was working on a larger scale in my Nyc apartment. For those of you who don't know me personally, I went to art school; S.V.A. for Fine Art Painting from 1996~2000 and graduated with my B.F.A. in 2000. Then I later attended 2 years of the Graduate Photography program from 2008-2009 at A.A.U. in San Francisco. My Graduate Photography Thesis seriously challenged the system and so I have yet to receive my official Graduate degree from A.A.U. However, there are no limits to what we can accomplish at any age!! And I'd be open to working with A.A.U. again for sure. Times have changed and shifted and most of us have grown, learned and expanded.
I'm now a strong resilient 47 year young woman and single mother who has: thrived through a challenging separation/divorce in 2022/23', being my own lawyer, navigating + facilitating healing with my 10 yr. old daughter and myself, plus ex Husband/ co parent, and my Mom and who lives with us. We all live together with 2 bunnies, 4 adopted wild cats and Grammy's new dog. We live in the Redwood forest here in Willits. I decided to leave the Sf city living in 2005 and move up North to Mendocino County. I fell in love with the Mendocino Coast first, then the Redwood forest in Brooktrails.
One of my family dreams is to Steward and Manage a small horse ranch with animals plus main house, yert, tipi, tree house, tiny house + wellness center, cafe + more! And I still love the hometown city living in Sf + Nyc too. Some folks find this amazing and successful way to live their dream life of being in both the city + the country and they find a way to bridge the gap. That's definitely one of my goals.
Currently I'm building my new business, painting again after 11 years!!!! , building my client's business, managing my household, working with renewing + regenerating my business + personal life, and strengthening my family + daughter's wellness. Been living here in Willits since 2011.
What a journey it has been!! 15 years.
